Supplier Audits & Internal Audits
Internal Audits are a quality system requirement regulated by ISO which has to be performed yearly through the organization. It sometimes poses a difficulty to SME’s as they are focusing on core competency and business expansion whereby time allocation and resources for internal audit may not be possible. This is where EQM steps in to provide a viable solution, through our experienced team of auditors. EQM adds value to internal audits for SMEs by identifying potential improvements through an independent party’s eye on top of fulfilling the Quality System requirements. This gives a long term benefit to SMEs and enables them to meet both quality system regulations while still maintaining business growth.

Due to abundant availability of raw material in Asia and with cheap labour cost, it is rather generic that most suppliers of MNCs in USA and Europe are located in Asia. Rising fuel cost, air travel expenses and travel time pose a significant challenge when it comes to performing supplier audits. This is where EQM is able to provide benefits in 2 folds to clients. Firstly by situating itself in the heart of Asia, we are able to cut down travel expenditure and time, returning the cost savings back to the clients. Secondly, upon project agreement as per client’s requirements and initial email introduction to the suppliers that EQM has been appointed to conduct the supplier audit on behalf of clients, we then undertake the entire program including travel arrangements for our auditors, scheduling of the audit, report and necessary actions in order to fulfil the supplier audit in a professional manner while keeping the client updated at all times. This saves time and resources on the clients end.

Assessment Activity
Assessment Activities carried out by EMQ on behalf of clients are similar to a Supplier Audit. While Supplier Audits are done for an existing supplier whom is already supplying to the client (therefore the audit will be focused on a particular product/service line), supplier evaluations are carried out when the supplier is actively sourcing for new resources. Thus, Assessment Activities provided by EQM serves as a platform to audit the supplier even before they start business with the Clients.

Typically for Clients based in USA and Europe whom are sourcing for a supplier base in Asia would normally carry out a qualification based supplier questionnaire which may not be effective at all times. Alternatively, they may come down to carry out an on-site audit; however this may not be cost effective. This is where EQM can add value to the Supply Chain Activity. Strategically positioned in Asia – EQM carries out the assessment activities on behalf of the clients and provides a complete report on the supplier quality system, manufacturing and technical capabilities, potential challenges, resources and relevant information in order to help the client make an informed decision.

Typically clients based in USA and Europe also carry out assessment program via EQM for a couple of suppliers in a particular region to test the market and competitiveness among the suppliers- not limited to the price but also the support surrounding the product/service and make a strategic decision on supply chain activities.

ISO System Implementation
With the current globalization wave, everyone is looking at a standardized organizational function, which will provide ease in communication and expectation in quality of service/product in the supply chain activity between supplier/customer and thus the establishment of the ISO system.

However many of the SME’s in the Asian region that has been in operation for a number of years are not ISO certified. This does not mean that the product/services offered by them are any less than of an ISO certified competitor.

In order to go for ISO certification, many of the SME’s face challenges in terms of allocation of time and resources as well as competent and qualified personals to develop and implement the quality system in line with the ISO requirements. This is where EQM provides a platform for SME’s to successfully obtain ISO Quality System implementation. We design, implement and follow up with regulatory bodies until the ISO certification – allowing SME’s to integrate the quality system into the current business model while at the same time focusing on core competency and business growth.

EQM not only provides continuous support to new Quality System establishments but also to existing ones to expand the scope of ISO certification. We provide strategic partnership for growing SME’s in terms of Quality System requirements.

Technical Support
EQM provides technical support to SMEs and MNCs as per client’s request. We undertake specific quality improvement and validation projects. Our engineers and Quality Personnel have substantial experience in medical and pharmaceutical field.

EQM undertakes design, development, qualification until successful production phase of various types of manufacturing items including but not limited to:

Clients based in USA and Europe more often than not uses EQM as a platform of its operating wing in Asia through strategic alliances in the supply chain. EQM helps to source and identify potential suppliers for clients and undertakes development and qualification function closer to the supplier base so that clients can focus on more critical business operation.

Training
Most public training is focused on a wide range of participants and may not yield the most out of the training. EQM on the other hand, provides in house training specifically customised to suit clients’ requirement and operation whereby the training materials and contents are tailor made to fit the client’s business model.
 
Source Inspections
EQM also perform source inspection for clients on project basis. This is specifically done for critical new supplier's whereby the clients require a third party inspection done before the products are released from the supplier's site. By doing this independent party inspection at the supplier's site, clients can "ship to production" and cut down on significant labour cost of incoming inspection and storage cost of goods in the supply chain.
